MC Sparkling Shiraz
Wine
Teusner MC Sparkling Shiraz draws from the winery's best Shiraz sites, one at Ebenezer in the Barossa's north, and the other at its south-eastern extremity at Williamstown.
The base wine spends several years maturing in 20-30% new French oak. It is then bottled for secondary fermentation, the same method used to produce Champagne in France.
The wine is aged further on lees, amounting to five years total maturation. It is disgorged by hand and only a tiny amount of sweetness is added back into the wine prior to release.
Deep red purple, Teusner MC Sparkling Shiraz is fruit driven in style with fine, savoury tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
